One of the biggest benefits of having a kitchen island is the extra counterspace. And with a stacked island, it feels like you have double the room. The Commander has a beautiful country kitchen island with weathered wood-style counters and lots of cream-colored drawers and cabinets. The raised counter creates a breakfast or serving bar while also camouflaging convenient outlets ready for cooking appliances. The lower level also has plenty of elbow room for meal prep, with a small extra sink built in. This is handy for easy cleanup while cooking.
The Versailles is stacked with an L-shaped design. You have the top level raised at the perfect height for bar stool seating. They both also have granite-style counters with a built-in apron sink, making it easy to wash your hands between steps while cooking. There are four outlets ready for plugging in a crockpot on one side and your phone on the other so you can read the new recipe you're trying. And there are also tall cabinets underneath for convenient storage.
If you want to add a little more color to your home, then check out this kitchen island in a muted blue. The Lakeview DR 5628-MS022 Sect’s island really pops with the white quartz-style countertop and all white kitchen. It has room to seat four, drawers and cabinets for more storage, and subtle black power outlets. Plus, it has the sink, dishwasher and microwave built in.
Is green more your color? The Safari has a sage colored kitchen island you’ll love, with a gray marble-style counter that harmonizes well with the light wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. You’ll also enjoy the built-in sink with the Pfister® pull-down faucet and tall DuraCraft® cabinets. The Safari is part of Clayton’s Epic Collection, so check out more of the models in this series if you like the look of this kitchen and want to see different floor plans.
A kitty-cornered kitchen island creates a clear divide from the kitchen to the dining room while still letting you enjoy an open floor plan. The Morris has a kitchen with a clean, neutral look with brushed white cabinets and a wood-style island. The serving bar is great for extra guests at dinner time or for snacks on game day. And we will never turn down extra prep space and cabinets.
The 3554 Jamestown’s kitchen island has a similar design as the Morris. Warm wood overlay matches the kitchen’s cabinets, and the tile on the inside is the same as the backsplash. The breakfast bar has an extended counter, and the inside has extra drawers, outlets and cabinetry.
Farmhouse fans will love the Lulabelle’s kitchen. The large island was made for country cooking with a long wooden countertop that mirrors the coffered ceiling, and three of its sides are cabinets and drawers in the same fresh white as the rest of the kitchen. There’s room for two to pull up a chair on the other side, so you can be first in line to try cookies just out of the oven or chat while you shuck peas for dinner.
The Maverick has a long white island with shiplap accents and a weathered wood counter to contrast with the quartz-style counters of the rest of the kitchen. And the island really stands out under the vaulted, beamed ceiling. It has room for three seats at the bar, and the sink is in the center with the dishwasher built in right below for easily transferring dirty plates.
A good wine pairing with dinner can really elevate your meal, and you can keep your favorite bottles on hand in this kitchen island. The 3338 Heritage has a rack built into the side along with tall cabinets and a cubby. Storage space aside, the design is really lovely too, with detailed columns and a creamy granite countertop.
The Anniversary Islander proves that a kitchen island doesn’t have to be huge to be a big storage help. Slender in design, this island is packed with storage features like the open cubbies at the bottom, two shelves on the side and cabinets just below the wood-style counter. Plus, it has an outlet so you don’t have to stretch a cord from the wall.
The stone-covered island of The Alpine Ridge is the perfect complement to a farmhouse or cabin-style home. It matches the weathered wood-style floor and ceiling beams, and the storage on one side and the extended counter for seating make the island functional as well as stunning.
The DRM562F 56' Dream also has an island with a stone veneer, but the kitchen has a more traditional feel with its darker wood stains, warm neutrals of the stone and counters, and decorative design details in the columns and cabinets. The kitchen island makes a cozy breakfast spot for two while centering the large open kitchen.
A kitchen island with an open middle makes reaching for everyday cookware a cinch. The Renegade’s island has four open cubbies for those pots and pans or mixing bowls you use regularly. All white, including white quartz, it goes with the rest of the rustic kitchen’s shiplap backsplash, barn door to the pantry and built-in hutch. And you’ll have even more storage with the two deep drawers on each side of the island.
The Bluebonnet Breeze has another open-middle kitchen island, and it comes in the same sage as the Safari. This island also has a bar that can seat several and has drawers on each side.
Is modern more your style? You’ll love this island’s clean lines, white quartz-style counters and warm wood cabinets underneath. The Highland Park 6430-MS038 Sect’s kitchen island also has the convenience of a drop-in sink and two separate outlets.
The Maverick 56A is sleek with another wood and quartz look that is more of a peninsula than a kitchen island, giving it a unique and minimal style. The clear line of the white counter extends from the partition wall and creates a breakfast bar for two. You have easy access to an outlet, and the wood base back also has a extra cabinets for storage.
The Bordeaux looks inspired by a French villa in the countryside with its vaulted ceilings, soft colors and emphasis on natural light. The large kitchen island is no exception to this style. It has a gorgeous marble-style countertop that reflects the light pouring from the window and a natural wood base with columns, complementing the sophisticated design. This island can seat four and has three long drawers on each side.
The 4710 Rocketeer 7632 is another elegant kitchen island but with a different style. The wood base is paneled like the cabinets with well-crafted turned legs and is topped with a polished granite-style counter. The island’s L-shape is great for open concept kitchens and offers flexibility with one end for a food prep side and other for plating. You can store bulkier cookware in the tall cabinets, and we also love the variety of seating arrangements this island offers.
Speaking of seating, a kitchen island is also great for offering additional options. If you love to entertain or have family visiting often, this next kitchen island makes sure there’s a place for everyone. In addition to the dining area, you can easily sit six at the bar of the Isabella . The island also has a built-in sink, cabinets and dishwasher. The light wood and dark quartz-style counters pair well with the white cabinets and wood window casing of the kitchen, as well.
With the Chantilly, you don’t even need a dining table. Use this roomy kitchen island for family meals or intimate get-togethers with friends.
