Finding a home you’ll love for years to come can be a challenge. The hardest part is taking the first step in choosing the type of home that best fits your family’s needs. Clayton’s Find a Home page makes that process much easier with user-friendly filters and fun-to-browse home model galleries. Below, I will share how to use this page to find the home of your dreams.
Whether or not you’ve actually started searching for a home, you most likely know how many bedrooms and bathrooms you’re looking for, which features you must have or would like to have, and what your budget range is. If you haven’t determined these yet, doing so can make deciding which homes you’re interested in easier. Once you have these details in mind, you can begin your search.
Finding Homes in Your Area
To access Clayton’s Find a Home page, you can either head to our homepage and enter your zip code in the box or go directly to the Find a Home page and enter your zip code there. Note: Make sure you enter the zip code of the area where your new home will be located to make sure that specific home is available in that region.
Once you’ve entered your location’s zip code, you can set a mileage range to find a home center near you that carries the homes you’re interested in. The filter goes up to 500 miles and we recommend using a range of 50-100 miles. If you’re interested in a home model that is only available at a home center more than 100 miles away from your location, we recommend you contact the home center to make sure they will be able to deliver the home to your area.
Using the Filters to Find Your Perfect Home
The Find a Home Page has many filters to choose from to help you discover manufactured and modular homes with the style and features you’re looking for. One of the most important filters is the price range at the top of the page. If you don’t already have a price range in mind, you can figure out a good budget for you and your family using tools like an online mortgage calculator. Once you have a price range, you can then narrow down your home search by filtering the number of bedrooms and baths you’d like and other specific features. (Keep in mind the home price you’ll see is the base price and may increase depending on the features you choose. That price also does not include the cost of required delivery and installation.)
Under the Size filter, you can choose your desired square footage, as well as the type of home you’d like under Sections. The Sections option includes the following:
- Single- A single-section home ranges in size from 784 sq. ft. to 1,440 sq. ft., which is about 14’56’ to 18’X80’.
- Multi- Multi-section homes have larger, more varying dimensions than a single-section home and are delivered in two or three sections that are joined together at the home site. This includes triple section homes that can be up to about 2,970 sq. ft.
- CrossMod™- This new class of manufactured homes blends some of the best features of site-built and off-site built homes. This option is not available for all home models.
If you’ve already looked at some of our beautiful Clayton Built® homes and have a few you’re interested in learning more about, you can also search directly for a home model by name or model number using the Name filter. You can then sort them by price or homes that are in stock at home centers near you.

To browse the home models, you can click the arrows on the image of the home model on the results page to see a few photos. To see more photos and details, click to go to the specific home details page. This page has photos of the home’s features and a virtual 3D tour, as well as a starting price and the home centers near you where the model is available.
