When you think about buying a new home, you’re probably visualizing the features and style you want. From your dream kitchen with a large island to a layout with plenty of space for your growing family, it can be hard to find a home that has it all. Many of our homes, including modern manufactured floor plans, have customization options that may help you tailor your new home to your specific wants and needs. Let’s take a look at some of these options to help you build the right home for you.
Looking at site-built options? Check out our Clayton Builders to discover home designs, customization options, and available floor plans in your area.
When you choose to buy a Clayton modern manufactured home, you aren’t just picking your floor plan, standard features, and potential upgrades. You can also personalize your new space by choosing options for cabinets and flooring, built-in features and storage, and bathroom and kitchen finishes, depending on the home and location.
In addition to these options, certain home models may also give you the ability to choose from several different floor plan configurations. Changing the layout, such as adding a bonus room, choosing a specific primary bathroom layout or adding an extra bedroom, may also be available. These options can help you create a home that better fits your lifestyle.

Who we areIf you aren’t ready to visit a home center yet, you can look online for homes that are available in your area through our shop page. There, you can search for homes that have specific features on your must-have list, like an open layout or kitchen island. When you click on a specific home, you’ll see the home details and what features are available. You'll also have the option to take a virtual tour of the home.

If you’re interested in adding specific features to your home, your home consultant can discuss pricing with you. They will show you the starting price of the home floor plan you choose plus the potential costs of any customization or upgrade options you are considering. Some options may not require extra charges, such as changing cabinet styles, paint colors, and flooring patterns.
While not every detail of a home is customizable, there are still many options to choose from. Check out some of the ways you may be able to add to your home, such as:
coffered ceilings
fireplaces
bench and built-in seating
patio doors
kitchen island
farmhouse sinks
upgraded refrigerators
designer vent hoods
coffee bars
brushed chrome faucets
granite countertops
double sink vanities
