Clayton Impact - Providing Team Members Paid Volunteer Time

January 16, 2024

We will leave the world better than we found it. Through our social responsibility efforts, Clayton strives to invest in the communities where our team members and customers work and live.

In July 2021, Clayton launched a new program that provides team members with paid time off to volunteer for local causes that are meaningful to them. This program is called Clayton Impact. Through Clayton Impact, more than 20,000 team members across the company have the opportunity to make a difference in their community through organizations and initiatives that resonate with them. Every team member who works for Clayton, or any company that’s a part of the Clayton family, can participate in the program.

"Companies have a responsibility to create positive change in the places where their team members live and work. As our team members donate their time within their communities, we are helping to model hope and improve the future for many." - Kevin Clayton, CEO

Clayton team members have embraced the program and found creative ways to use their volunteer time.

  • Clayton Home Building Group team members volunteered over 530 collective hours to repair homes and community spaces with non-profit Rebuilding Together
  • 120 Retail Home Centers participated in a total 132 service projects for their communities, with projects including creating animal toys for local shelters and friendship bracelets for nursing home/assisted living clients
  • The Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance team members regularly volunteer at Second Harvest© food bank.

Clayton Impact garnered impressive participation since inception in July 2021, team members have volunteered over 120,000 hours in hundreds of communities.
