Clayton Ignite - Profesional Development for our Team Members

We are committed to providing continuous learning and development opportunities that are engaging, relevant, best-in-class, and available to every team member. Ignite was developed for that purpose. The Ignite brand represents five programs for leadership and professional development.

Ignite Discover Connect Lead takes an inside-out approach to help senior leaders meet the demands of their role and accelerate organizational goals. While delving into high-level challenges, leaders across the organization also explore how managing energy, stress and health are related to effective leadership. Participants receive 360-degree feedback, individualized coaching and leadership development plans, and build a network of supportive leaders across the company to continue their development.

Ignite Excel is a leadership development experience designed to meet the challenges and needs of experienced leaders and mid-level managers. Here, they are given tools to make the shift from successful front-line managers to effective leaders — one of the biggest and most difficult transitions for any leader. Participants also receive 360-degree feedback and one-on-one coaching to create customized development action plans. Alongside other company leaders, they engage in collaborative learning exercises and are given practical take-home tools and resources to prepare them to achieve lasting results.

Ignite Gateway is a leadership essentials workshop series tailored to meet the needs of emerging leaders, first-time managers and front-line leaders. It introduces key fundamentals of effective leadership in an experiential learning environment for greater success, faster. Participants engage in lively peer-to-peer interaction with other leaders from across the organization, begin to build their leadership “toolklit”, and create customized development plans based on 360-degree feedback through the Emerging Leader Profile assessment.

Ignite Grow is Clayton’s newest leadership program scheduled to premiere in November 2021. This summit-style program is designed to meet the unique needs of the Clayton Retail Home Center Managers by concentrating on capabilities to grow their leadership, their teams, and their business.

Ignite Today provides a combination of in-person, live virtual, and on-demand learning experiences for personal and career development. These learning opportunities are currently open to all team members at the home office, with plans to expand further in 2022. Live learning sessions are facilitated Clayton team members and leaders, and generally last about 60-90 minutes. Learning experience cover a variety of professional and leadership related topics such as emotional intelligence, teamwork, and effective communication.

Since Ignite launched in 2013, over 713 Clayton team members at all levels have benefited from an Ignite learning experience. Clayton continues to grow Ignite and invest in our greatest asset, our people.
