National homebuilder recognizes U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s commitment to supporting innovative, energy-efficient homeownership

Clayton®, a leading national builder of single-family attainable housing, commends the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for its updates to the Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards, commonly referred to as the “HUD Code,” marking the most significant revision to the code in more than 30 years.
Introduced in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Act that established the HUD Code, the new standards introduce 90 updated standards, including provisions for open floor plans, improved accessibility and advanced structural designs.
“These updates reinforce Clayton's shared vision with HUD to promote construction innovation and attainable modern manufactured housing, including multi-family homes, reaffirming our commitment to build homes that meet diverse lifestyles and evolving needs,” said Clayton CEO, Kevin Clayton.
As the manufactured housing industry begins implementing these new standards, Clayton remains dedicated to delivering quality, energy-efficient homes that meet the growing needs of homebuyers across America.
