If a spacious home is what you want and need, The St. Croix could be the perfect fit for you. At 2,253 sq. ft. and featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the whole family will be able to stretch out in this contemporary-style home. What sets it apart from the rest is the recessed porch that instantly makes guests feel welcome, as well as the foyer’s distinctive curved walls that create an inviting flow into the rest of the home.
If you already like what you see, let me show you my other favorite rooms and features of this dreamy Clayton Built® home.
The Kitchen of Your Dreams
The kitchen is often the hub of the home, especially if you love gathering with the family for mealtime. And the kitchen in the St. Croix provides plenty of room to cook up a meal, enjoy a snack or relax with a cup of coffee.
As you walk into the open, arched doorway, one of the first things you’ll notice is the kitchen island. It has an extended countertop on one side that serves as a breakfast bar where you can pull up a couple stools to enjoy a meal or a quick snack. Or use the extra countertop space for meal prep or to house small appliances. (The island even has a conveniently placed, built-in electrical outlet!) You won’t find a shortage of cabinets in the rest of the kitchen either, with plenty of space to store essentials.
The glass subway tile backsplash, stainless appliances and double-basin, farmhouse sink all bring a contemporary, refreshing feel to the kitchen. We especially love the coastal vibes of the blue backsplash and white cabinet combo, but you can customize these features to create the kitchen of your dreams.
A Great Room to Relax
The largest room in the house, the great room, is right off the kitchen and provides a relaxing place to retreat to after dinner with the family. Can’t you picture yourself reading a book, spending time with the family or maybe taking a nap in this versatile room? To enhance the cozy factor, a modern electric fireplace adds warmth and is flanked by two built-in bookshelves to keep your favorite reads at hand and store knickknacks. And, if you love natural light, the large windows let plenty in.
Make Laundry Day a Little Less Stressful
I think we can all agree that laundry day is no fun, but the utility room in the St. Croix makes it a little more stress-free. It features cabinetry for storing the essentials, a built-in folding table and plenty of room to steam or iron clothing. With so much space, you can recruit the whole family to help with the laundry.
Retreat to the Primary Bedroom
Now, it’s time to talk about my personal favorite room in the house: the primary bedroom suite. This suite is truly a mini getaway. First of all, the actual bedroom is spacious and features fluffy, luscious carpet that is so comfortable underfoot you may want it installed throughout the entire home. Recessed lighting, including directly above the bed, allows you to read your favorite book right before bedtime. And, a walk-in closet provides plenty of room for your belongings. The best part of the suite, however, is the primary bath.
...And the Bathroom
This space features a double-sink vanity with open shelving underneath, a private corner with a relaxing bath and an open step-in shower featuring tile walls and a half-glass enclosure. It’s the next best thing to a resort getaway.
The St. Croix is one of our favorite Clayton Built® homes because of its large square footage, intricate details and must-have features, and we think you and your family will love making memories in this beautiful home for years to come.
