Clayton Impact - Providing Team Members Paid Volunteer Time

September 23, 2022

We will leave the world better than we found it. Through our social responsibility efforts, Clayton strives to invest in the communities where our team members and customers work and live.

In July 2021, Clayton launched a new program that provides team members with paid time off to volunteer for local causes that are meaningful to them. This program is called Clayton Impact. Through Clayton Impact, more than 20,000 team members across the company have the opportunity to make a difference in their community through organizations and initiatives that resonate with them. Every team member who works for Clayton, or any company that’s a part of the Clayton family, can participate in the program.

"Companies have a responsibility to create positive change in the places where their team members live and work. As our team members donate their time within their communities, we are helping to model hope and improve the future for many." - Kevin Clayton, CEO

Clayton team members have gravitated to the program and found creative ways to use their volunteer time.

  • Clayton Giles team members volunteered to build a new playground for a Family Promise Affiliate.
  • Over 480 Clayton Home Office team members volunteered 2,100 hours building two homes for Habitat for Humanity™.
  • Clayton Retail team members made hero capes for Children’s Hospital during an annual training event.
  • The Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance team members regularly volunteer at Second Harvest© food bank.

Clayton Impact garnered impressive participation since inception, with more than team members volunteering over 89,000 hours in hundreds of communities.
