Clayton works to make a difference on a large scale by empowering non-profit partners and grassroot programs in the communities our team members and customers live and work. Clayton has the exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through its national philanthropy efforts by focusing on our four pillars of giving: affordable housing, sustainability, education, community enrichment. Democratize Attainable Housing

Democratize Attainable Housing

Democratize Attainable Housing

Today’s affordable housing crisis and housing market have made it difficult for many people to realize the American dream of homeownership. We believe the benefits of homeownership are long-lasting and make lives better, and therefore we are dedicated to democratizing attainable housing for all. Through innovative building practices and efficiencies, Clayton strives to provide attainable quality and value for all its homes, no matter the price level.

Clayton eBuilt® homes, built to DOE Zero Energy Ready Home™ specifications, require less energy than a traditional home – helping reduce a homeowner’s carbon footprint while driving down the cost of homeownership.

Build a Sustainable Future

Clayton sees an opportunity for positive impact between operational sustainability and attainable homeownership. By finding innovative ways to reduce waste and build more efficiently, we incur less costs during the construction process, allowing us to deliver attainable housing and allowing more people to experience the benefits of homeownership. In 2023, we introduced our new home energy efficiency initiative, Clayton eBuilt™. These homes are built to the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home™ specifications and are equipped with enhanced energy-efficient features that can save customers up to 50 percent on energy bills annually*. Through home building innovations, fleet modernization, energy efficient home features and philanthropic partnerships, we are aiming to meet the needs of our communities today while opening the door to a better future for generations to come.
